About

Eric Martin has performed extensively throughout the United States, Europe, Central America and Africa. Concert engagements in New York include David Geffen Hall, Merkin Hall, The Roosevelt House, Weill Recital Hall, and 54 Below.  He is the recipient of numerous awards and scholarships including the National Teachers Association Piano Competition, the Dalies Franz Memorial Scholarship, and the Nena Plant Wideman International Piano Competition. He has lectured and performed on the Sea Cloud sailing throughout Italy and Greece as part of the Academic Arrangements Abroad educational tours and was selected by the United States Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs to perform and lecture throughout Central America. He is also in demand as a collaborative artist and accompanies performers from the Metropolitan Opera and the Broadway circuit. Degrees earned include a DMA from The University of Texas at Austin, MM from Louisiana State University Baton Rouge, and BM from Loyola University in New Orleans.   

Martin has served on the faculties of Columbia University, the Boston Conservatory, and The Nightingale-Bamford School. Currently, he is on the piano faculty at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the Extension Division at The Juilliard School, where he teaches piano and assists in the voice department as a coach and accompanist.
